The right decision at the right time leads you to the right place. This is the right time to decide to settle in the United Kingdom, which is one of the most desirable countries for living, education, or work. The BNO visa has provided a golden opportunity for people who are from Hong Kong and are British nationals (overseas).
Historically, British national (overseas) status was created for the people who had British Dependent Territories Citizenship (BDTC) before the 1997 Hong Kong handover. They had the right to get BN (O) status ten years before the handover. When the Chinese government imposed a new national security law (NSL) for Hong Kong on June 30, 2020, the British government started a new visa scheme to support the inhabitants of Hong Kong due to its moral commitment to the people who got BN (O) status before Hong Kong handover.
BNO Visa
BNO is the short form of "British National Overseas." According to British laws, people who were British overseas territories citizens by connection with Hong Kong and registered themselves as British nationals (overseas) before July 1, 1997, are called British nationals (overseas). A person who was a British Overseas Territories Citizen from Hong Kong and did not register as
British nationals (overseas) and who had no other nationality or citizenship on June 30, 1997, became British overseas citizens on July 1, 1997.
British nationals (overseas) who could hold a British passport can now get a recently introduced British national (overseas) visa. Not only will you have the right to live, work, and study in the United Kingdom, but you will also be eligible to get British citizenship.
